You can make the actual outside or case for the pillow first. Decide what size you want the pillow to be, take your measurements and cut that much material out of the fabric. You need two pieces of the same fabric to make one pillow. If you want the pillow to be the same on the front and back, you will need to cut carefully out of the fabric to ensure you have the same part of the pattern on both sides. Place the two pieces one on top of the other, with the outsides facing together. You should see the inside or wrong side of the fabric face up when sewing.
Sew around the entire perimeter of the fabric, leaving only a small area where you can put in the stuffing. Turn the case inside out, so you can now see the right side of the fabric. Add in the stuffing until the pillow is as full as you want it and sew the hole up. Now you have a completed pillow and you can repeat this as many times as you want.
