Once your quinoa has rinsed for a few minutes, you will want to use one parts quinoa to two parts liquid. You can cook quinoa in water, but you will get better results if you use a liquid that matches the type of quinoa recipe you are making. For savory dishes, I like to use broth. In the morning, I love the subtle sweetness that apple juice gives.
Simply combine the quinoa and liquid, cover your pot and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 15 minutes or until the liquid has absorbed. Remove from heat and let sit covered for 15 minutes. Your quinoa is ready to serve!
