A dressing table is the finishing touch every girl needs in her room; think about it, what better piece of furniture to store everything she needs for her beauty regime. Typically these are the cheapest and smallest option and should only be considered if space and cost are an issue.

After the 3 different styles there are the literally hundreds of materials and finishes to consider. The best dressing tables will be made of solid wood, such as Pine, Oak or Ash, and we recommend to try to avoid the cheap chipboard and plywood options if possible. Consider the solid dressing table to be and investment – if you look after it will reward you over time and will not depreciate in value. Adding a pine dressing table or an oak dressing table to your collection could actually be considered an investment, if properly maintained.

Finally, the finish of your dressing table. This will obviously be dictated by the overall decor of the room you are furnishing but there is a very broad selection of painted dressing tables available if you are after a modern finish, while for the traditionalist then unpainted, waxed finishes are ideal.
